Laser engraving: principles, advantages, and applications!

Laser engraving: principles, advantages, and applications!

Within the field of IT for precision machining in modern Chinese enterprises, laser engraving shines as a standout technique. It utilizes a laser beam to heat and vaporize the surface of a workpiece, effectively eliminating material. Compared to traditional production methods, laser engraving boasts numerous advantages including enhanced efficiency, precise outcomes, and environmental sustainability. As a result, its use has gained momentum in domestic industrial production, providing convenience and groundbreaking advancements across various industries. This piece will explore the complexities of laser engraving and its widespread implementation in industrial settings.

To better understand laser engraving, we need to understand some basic terms first. The technology uses a laser beam of a specific wavelength to irradiate the surface of the material to melt the material, and at the same time the laser beam is heated to a certain power level to cause the material on the surface of the material to vaporize, vaporize or ablate, so the material is removed.

During laser engraving, the focal point of the laser beam is crucial. By concentrating the light into a tiny spot, the laser beam can illuminate the material with precision. As the laser energy increases, ablative holes are formed on the surface of the workpiece, resulting in gasification, vaporization, melting, and other changes. The ablative holes will form as the laser energy increases. Once sufficient holes have formed, further processing can begin.

The advantages of laser engraving over traditional processing methods are obvious:

Laser engraving machines are fast, efficient, and easy to use. Laser engraving machines require no auxiliary tools, and the working process is extremely rapid.

Laser engraving precision requirements are extremely high, suitable for a variety of different and materials engraving, ensuring product quality.

Additionally, it is pollution-free, does not produce exhaust gases, and is environmentally friendly.

Laser engraving is also highly adaptable to a wide variety of materials, including wood, plastic, paper, leather, and so on.

Regardless of the material of the workpiece, laserpecker 12 laser engraving machines can handle metal and other materials easily.

Laser engraving has become an integral part of domestic industrial production, laserpecker metal engraving with its applications extending to various fields, including electronics, plastics, and metals. This technology offers a precise method for marking electronic products without causing harm to components, resulting in cost savings and improved quality. In the realm of plastic production, laser engraving has proven to be an efficient solution for creating mold parts. Similarly, in metal manufacturing, it provides a reliable means for cutting and drilling different metal plates with ease.

Due to the development of laser engraving technology, two types of laser engraving have been developed. The material is cut directly using a variety of precision machine tools to achieve non-contact processing with extremely high precision requirements, but the main focus of the research is on a variety of structural metals with a thickness of less than 0.5mm.

The development of laser inner glass carving technology has led to a new type of glass art

This Glorious Marriott Will Deliver a 10-Pound Doughnut to Your Door

Sure you can make your own giant Funfetti doughnut at home, but what if you could order one through room service and have it delivered to your door? JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in California is doing just that! The hotel is now offering a "Donut Disturb" special in which a 10-pound doughnut to you via room service for the reasonable price of $219. This package includes a round of milkshakes to pair with the doughnut and a $50 hotel credit to be used at the spa, golf course, or hotel dining.

How did the chefs create such a giant doughnut? It's technically cake and it's made fresh in house. Layers of vanilla chiffon cake, cream, and raspberry jam are molded into a doughnut shape and coated in fondant. A coffee lacquer is sprayed on the outside (to give it a fried doughnut appearance). Strawberry glaze is drizzled on top and finally coated in large homemade sprinkles.

Luckily for us, the team at Foodbeast ordered the doughnut so we can all live vicariously. Foodbeast founder Elie Ayrouth told POPSUGAR that the doughnut tasted "[l]ike the most delicious wedding cake possible." He added, "t's definitely lavish, fun to order to the room to get your weekend going and then we just had it all weekend to pick at. [O]bviously [we] didn't eat it all in one stting." After seeing all the close-ups of this humongous doughnut, you may be inspired to book a trip to Desert Springs ASAP.

dark one evening

None of his friends came to see him, for there were too many stairs to climb.
It was quite , and he could not even buy himself a candle , when it occurred to him that there was a candle-end in the tinder-box which he hadtaken out of the hollow tree into which the witch had helped him .He brought out the tinder-box and the candle-end; but as soon as he struck fire and the sparks rose up from the flint, the door flew open, and the dog who had eyes as big as a couple of tea-cups, and whom he had seen in the tree, stood before him, and said:
"What are my lord's commands?”
"What is this?” said the soldier. "That's a famous tinder-box, if I can get everything with it that I want! Bring me some money , ” said he to the dog ; and whisk ! the dog was gone, and whisk! he was back again, with a great bag full of shillings in his mouth.
Now the soldier knew what a capital tinder-box this was . If he struck it once , the dog came who sat upon the chest of copper money; if he struck it twice, the dog came who had the silver; and if he struck it three times, then appeared the dog who had the gold . Now the soldier moved back into the fine rooms, and appeared again in handsome clothes; and all his friends knew him again, and cared very much for him indeed .
Once he thought to himself, "It is a very strange thing that one cannot get to see the princess . They all say she is very beautiful; but what is the use of that, if she has always to sit in the great copper castle with the many towers? Can I not get to see her at all? Where is my tinder-box?” And so he struck a light , and whisk ! came the dog with eyes as big as tea-cups.
"It is midnight, certainly,” said the soldier, "but I should very much like to see the princess, only for one little moment . ”
The dog was outside the door directly, and, before the soldier thought it, came back with the princess. She sat upon the dog's back and slept; and every one could see she was a real princess , for she was so lovely .

replied in thundering tones

He : "I will sign it! and Alipay hktwo rather than one! I will sign all; as many as need signing. I will sign them always for anyone! Ah! the soldiers imagine that they will manage me easily, because once, chance, and their larger force gave them the advantage! I fall, living, into their hands, I, whose arm is proof against fatigue, and whose head is proof against bullets! I seat myself on a bench, before a judge, like a peasant who has stolen cabbages! Young man, you do not yet know Hadgi-Stavros! It would be easier to pluck up Parnassus and place it upon the summit of Taygète, than to tear me from my mountains, and place me on a court bench! Write for me, in Greek, Madame Simons’ name! Good! Yours also!”

"It is not necessary, and——”

"Write! You know my name, and I am sure that you Neo skin labwill not forget it. I wish to have yours, to hold as a souvenir.”

I wrote my name as best I could in the harmonious language of Plato. The King’s lieutenants applauded his firmness without understanding that it would cost him a hundred and fifteen thousand francs. I hurried with a light heart and much pleased with myself to Mrs. Simons’ tent. I told her that her money had had a narrow escape, and she deigned to smile on learning that I had pretended to be deceived in order to rob our robbers. A half hour afterward she submitted for my approval the following letter:

"My Dear Brother:—The gendarmes whom you sent to our rescue were treacherous, and fled ignominiously. I advise you to see that they are hung. They will need a gallows a hundred feet high for their Captain Pericles. I shall complain of him, especially, in the dispatch which I intend to send to Lord Palmerston, and I shall consecrate to him a portion of the letter which I shall write to the editor of the "Times,” as soon as you have set us free. It is useless to hope anything from the local authorities. All the natives are leagued against us, and the day after our departure the Greeks will gather in some corner of the kingdom to divide what they have taken from us. Fortunately, they will have little. I have learned from a young German, whom I took at first for a spy, and who is a very honest man, that this Stavros, called Hadgi-Stavros, has funds placed with our firm aviation research . I beg you to verify the fact, and if it is true, let nothing prevent you from paying the ransom which is demanded. Turn over to the Bank of Greece 115,000 francs (4600 sterling) for a regular receipt, sealed with this Stavros’ seal. The amount will be charged to his account. Our health is good, although life in the mountains may not be comfortable. It is monstrous that two English women, citizens of the greatest kingdom in the world, should be compelled to eat their roast without mustard and without pickles and to drink pure water like any fish.

take note and learn

"It is wisdom; none can gainsay it. Let us go on, Sir Boss. I will , and do the best I may."
He kept his word Carpet Cleaning. He did the best he could, but I've seen better. If you have ever seen an active, heedless, enterprising child going diligently out of one mischief

and into another all day long, and an anxious mother at its heels all the while, and just saving it by a hair from drowning itself or breaking its neck with each new

experiment, you've seen the king and me.
If I could have foreseen what the thing was going to be like, I should have said, No, if anybody wants to make his living exhibiting a king as a peasant, let hong kong food tour him

take the layout; I can do better with a menagerie, and last longer. And yet, during the first three days I never allowed him to enter a hut or other dwelling. If he

could pass muster anywhere during his early novitiate it would be in small inns and on the road; so to these places we confined ourselves. Yes, he certainly did the

best he could, but what of that? He didn't improve a bit that I could see.
He was always frightening me, always breaking out with fresh astonishers, in new and unexpected places. Toward evening on the second day, what does he do but blandly

fetch out a dirk from inside his robe!
"Great guns, my liege, where did you get that?"
"From a smuggler at the inn, yester eve."
"What in the world possessed you to buy it?"
"We have escaped divers dangers by wit -- thy wit -- but I have bethought me that it were but prudence if I bore a weapon, too. Thine might fail thee in some pinch."
"But people of our condition are not allowed to carry arms. What would a lord say -- yes, or any other person of whatever condition -- if he caught an upstart

peasant with a dagger on his person?"
It was a lucky thing for us that nobody came along just then. I persuaded him to throw the dirk away; and it was as easy as persuading a child to give up some bright

fresh new way of killing itself. We walked along rent apartments in hong kong, silent and thinking. Finally the king said:
"When ye know that I meditate a thing inconvenient, or that hath a peril in it, why do you not warn me to cease from that project?"
It was a startling question, and a puzzler. I didn't quite know how to take hold of it, or what to say, and so, of course, I ended by saying the natural thing:
"But, sire, how can I know what your thoughts are?"

He could not get the

Francis carried Space ResearchJames Lawrie’s house with him on his back like a snail’s shell. He could not get the thought of Bennett out of his head, and the thought of Bennett made him sensitive as he had never been to the squalor through which he had to pass on the way home. Everything in him was disturbed. His comfortable good-nature rather than his religion had made him accept the world as good in essence, and he had always done what he could to alleviate poverty and to comfort distress when they had come knocking at his door, but moral distress such as he had found in old Lawrie and divined in old Lawrie’s son he had never looked for and never seen. One thing only in his life had so disturbed him, the episode, years and years ago, of the murder in Potsham, but that he had not grasped so fully; it had been so easy to conventionalise it, to watch the man be swallowed up by the machinery of punishment and forget, to pass on to—what had he passed on to? He was dismayed to find himself thinking of his wooing. Even then he had not taken the trouble to understand what he was doing; and the result? Would it have been different if he had taken the trouble to understand? Old Lawrie seemed to take an immense amount of trouble to understand, and look at the pass to which he had brought himself.

He passed the end  of a dismal trough of a street—there [Pg 157]were hundreds like it in his parish—and the sight of it led him to the thought of poverty. Perhaps, he told himself, perhaps his disasters and old Lawrie’s were due only to the fact that they were poor men, too poor for the responsibilities of wife and children they had taken upon themselves. . . . But that must be nonsense. There would soon be an end of everything if the great processes of the world were to be screwed down to the money standard, if . . . But that was too difficult. He must see old Lawrie again. Quite obviously he must think things out, but he was incapable of doing so alone, and admitted it to himself. He liked walking and resented this intrusion of thought upon his pleasure. He had been a fool and supposed that he must pay for his folly, and only hoped that the price asked would not be more than he could pay. He had a feeling that he was only at the beginning of some stupendous change, and on the whole he was excited by it, until he began to think, and then it all lay so far beyond his grasp that he was depressed. One thing relieved him—the knowledge that he had no regret for the fleshpots and the fat glebes of the two Cornish livings of his early manhood.

Then his thoughts took another turn. After all, what did it matter? He did his work conscientiously, and nothing else was greatly his concern. He was only interested in Bennett Lawrie in so far as he was going to be Gertrude’s husband. He had promised to see what could be done towards making the young man a clergyman. He had fulfilled the promise, but apparently nothing could be done. The garden roller had passed over that aspiration and squeezed it out flat as a shadow. So be it. Gertrude’s husband would continue in commerce, take an active though lay interest in Church matters, and probably be ten Neo skin lab times more prosperous, probably also a more satisfactory husband and father, than if he were to take Orders. There was a great deal to be said for work which took a man away all day and every day from his home, a good deal from both sides. It needed a strong affection to withstand the strain of full community of existence and interest.

Finding himself beginning to think critically of marriage, Francis brought himself up with a start. There had been a time when he had given a great deal of thought to it, his thought had necessarily driven him to attempted discussion with his wife, but on the first hint of what was at the back of his mind she had cried scandal and shame upon him and so scared and wounded him that he had never returned to the subject. He had hoped to break down the wall that had grown up between them, but she put up two bricks for every one he removed. Did she know what she was doing? Did she suffer from it?—He did not know. He would never know. She amused him. He told himself that she was more like Mrs. Nickleby than he had conceived it possible for a woman in real life to be. At any rate she was not hard, armoured against even a joke, like Mrs. Lawrie.

That brought him back to Bennett, and he had a gust of anger against the young man—not a violent gust. Francis never could be violent in anything. His anger turned on himself and twinged his conscience with the realisation that he was giving more thought to Bennett and Bennett’s affairs than he had to any of his children. The point of it all was the establishment of Bennett in a career superior to that which had been forced upon him, but then which of his children had been established in a career of any sort? Serge had gone his own way; Leedham had taken things into his own hands; Frederic had a profession, but he (Francis) had no notion how that profession was answering or what prospect it held out. Unfortunately Francis had never been able to take Frederic seriously, and the thought of him was enough to set his mind working in caricature. He thrust aside all that had been troubling him—with considerable relief—and the seed of irony planted in him by his conversation with old Lawrie grew like a magic beanstalk, and he saw himself in the absurd position of having obliged a world hungry for population—(Was it not? Did not everybody agree in saying so?)—with, for one man, a large supply of human beings, produced quite legitimately after due notice given, only to find that one after another the world [Pg 159]rejected them, or at any rate refused to provide the males with worthy work or the females with husbands. He was walking along Miller Street as this new perception came to him, between fifty little houses on one side and fifty little houses on the other, and half-way down the street the door of a house opened and Frederic came out and stopped him. He had no hat on and he was a little nervous. He said:

reflected for a while

"No, Vanya, he’s not dead,” she said positively, when she had heard it all and . "Mother often tells me about grandfather, and when I said to her yesterday, ‘but grandfather’s dead,’ she was dreadfully grieved; she cried and told me he wasn’t, that I had been told so on purpose, and that he was walking about the streets now, begging ‘just as we used to beg,’ mother said to me; ‘and he keeps walking about the place where we first met him, and I fell down before him, and Azorka knew me . . . .’”

"That was a dream, Nellie, a dream that comes from illness, for you are ill,” I said to her.

"I kept thinking it was only a dream myself,” said Nellie, "and I didn’t speak of it to anyone. I only wanted to tell you. But today when you didn’t come, and I fell asleep, I dreamed of grandfather himself. He was sitting at home, waiting for me, and was so thin and dreadful; and he told me he’d had nothing to eat for two days, nor Azorka either, and he was very angry with me, and scolded me. He told me, too, that he had no snuff at all, and that he couldn’t live without it. And he did really say that to me once before, Vanya, after mother died, when I went to see him. Then he was quite ill and hardly understood anything. When I heard him say that today, I thought I would go on to the bridge and beg for alms, and then buy him bread and baked potatoes and snuff. So I went and stood there, and then I saw grandfather walking near, and he lingered a little and then came up to me, and looked how much I’d got and took it. ‘That will do for bread,’ he said; ‘now get some for snuff.’ I begged the money, and he came up and took it from me. I told him that I’d give it him all, anyway, and not hide anything from him. ‘No’ he said, ‘you steal from me. Mme. Bubnov told me you were a thief; that’s why I shall never take you to live with me. Where have you put that other copper?’ I cried because he didn’t believe me, but he wouldn’t listen to me and kept shouting, ‘You’ve stolen a penny!’ And he began to beat me there on the bridge, and hurt me. And I cried very much . . . And so I’ve begun to think, Vanya, that he must be alive, and that he must be walking about somewhere waiting for me to come.”

I tried once more to soothe her and to persuade her she was wrong, and at last I believe I succeeded in convincing her. She said that she was afraid to go to sleep now because she would dream of her grandfather. At last she embraced me warmly.

Escape minutes ago

A relative of a put warrantUtah family that escaped minutes before a landslide slammed into their home says he is astonished and thankful that everyone scrambled out uninjured.

Eight people, including youngsters and grandparents in their 70s, were in the house when they heard the ridge behind them crack at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, said David Utrilla, the honorary Peruvian consulate in Salt Lake City.

All eight made it out safely before a 400-foot-wide chunk of dirt and rocks barreled down the hillside and into the home, blowing out windows and ripping apart walls Neo skin lab.

"If my father weren't to wake up" and rush the household across the street, Utrilla said, "we would be having a different type of catastrophe where lives were compromised as well."

The landslide collapsed the nearly 3,000-square-foot house, in a mountainside community north of Salt Lake City. Utrilla's mother and adult brother owned the home, but Utrilla did not live there.

It also forced the temporary evacuation of 27 homes.

Officials have told those residents it's best to stay elsewhere until further notice, though only three homes remain under mandatory evacuations. It could be up to a month before officials allow those families to return, North Salt Lake City Manager Barry Edwards said.

Utrilla's family is staying in a nearby home owned by the developer of their former home.

In a Wednesday meeting with city officials, neighborhood residents asked how soon crews would raze the remaining slope and when geologists would know the likelihood of another slide. How much damage such an event would cause wasn't immediately clear.

Crews worked to move loose soil, build a barrier and drain pools to guard against more destruction after the slide. But officials said it would be a few days before geologists could determine future risks because they needed to wait for the ground to dry after rains.

The city declared a state of emergency Tuesday evening. Officials said they planned to ask the state for resources to guard against another round of slides, but Edwards said Wednesday the damage isn't costly enough to secure state aid.

Cracks appeared a year ago on the hillside above the homes. Crews removed soil last fall to make the slope less steep and alleviate pressure, city engineer Paul Ottoson said.

They reappeared earlier this summer, so a company began removing more soil in recent days, Ottoson said. That work halted during this week's heavy rains.

The city sent homeowners a letter this week recommending they protect their valuables. Some neighbors said they received the note a few days ago, while others said they received no such notice.

Further development on the hillside has been halted until the cause of the landslide becomes clear, Edwards said.

Eaglepointe Development, the company that has developed homes there extensively since 1999, said it conducted its work based on recommendations and approvals from the city and independent engineering companies.

On Wednesday, meeting attendees asked whether the city would change requirements for developers.

The slide shows the current system is "unstable the way it is right now, and that has to change," Edwards replied.

Ty Weston, who lives in the neighborhood, said his family has been permitted to return home but is staying with friends instead. He praised emergency crews for rushing to help the neighborhood but said he has little confidence the city could prevent more destruction.

"The main thing is, does my family feel safe in my home?" he said after the meeting. "That's really where the damage has been Neo Derm Beauty Box."

Oregon Kangle Hot pot

An initiative seeking to legalize, tax and regulate recreational marijuana in Oregon has qualified for the November ballot nu skin hk, the state said on its website on Tuesday.

Only two U.S. states, Washington and Colorado, currently allow recreational marijuana, which remains illegal under federal law. Oregon's proposal will come before voters just two years after they rejected a similar measure.

"This is a moment we've been waiting for, that we've worked months to get to," said Peter Zuckerman, spokesman for the campaign in favor of the Oregon initiative. Since 2012, when voters turned down a similar measure, nuskin hk public support has grown for legalized marijuana in the Pacific Northwest state, he said.

Proponents of the Oregon initiative submitted 88,584 valid signatures from voters in favor of placing it on the ballot, the elections division of the Oregon secretary of state's office said in an update on Tuesday, more than the 87,213 required to qualify, the update said.

"Every signature represents an Oregonian who believes it’s time for a new approach to marijuana," Zuckerman said Cellmax. "We've been trying the black market approach for 40 years and it's not working."

Kevin Sabet, co-founder of the national anti-marijuana group Smart Approaches to Marijuana, did not immediately comment on the initiative on Tuesday. But he has said the proposal is being propped up by big money.

Voters in Alaska also will decide on a marijuana initiative in November, freshwater pearl earrings and a similar measure is being vetted by election officials in Washington, D.C.

Dezhou fatal wreck

The family of a North Texas teen who killed four people in a drunken wreck has reached settlements with some, but not all nuskin hk, of the families of the teen's victims, court records show.

Ethan Couch was given 10 years' probation for intoxication manslaughter in a wreck last year that left several people severely injured. His case and sentence drew national attention due to a defense expert's testimony that Couch's parents had coddled him into a sense of irresponsibility — a condition the expert called "affluenza."

Court records in Fort Worth indicate Couch's family has settled three lawsuits, including with families of three of the people killed: Breanna Mitchell, whose car had stopped on a rural Tarrant County road; and Hollie and Shelby Boyles, a mother and daughter who were trying to help.

The terms of those settlements were not disclosed.

The third settlement is with the parents of Isaiah McLaughlin, who was a 13-year-old passenger in the car of local minister Brian Jennings, who was also killed after stopping to help Mitchell.

According to a court filing, McLaughlin's family and attorneys will receive a $37,500 payment. The boy will get an annuity of about $13,000 a year for the next five years, nu skin as well as a $10,000 payment when he turns 25.

Couch was drunk and had prescription drugs in his system when he plowed his family's Ford pickup truck into the crowd of people helping Mitchell.

At least four lawsuits have not been settled, according to court records. Jennings' widow and two children are still discussing a settlement. Also pending are cases brought by the families of Sergio Molina and Solaiman Mohmand, teens from suburban Keller who were riding in the bed of Couch's pickup and were severely hurt in the crash, and Lucas McConnell, a 12-year-old passenger in Jennings' car.

Molina was paralyzed in the crash and can communicate only by blinking. Mohmand broke several bones and suffered internal injuries.

Couch's blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit for an adult and traces of Valium were found in his blood after the crash Glass House.

Couch faced 20 years in prison after admitting to the crash, but State District Judge Jean Boyd sentenced him to 10 years' probation — a sentence ripped by prosecutors, many of the victims' families and in nationwide commentary.

An attorney for Couch did not return a phone message Wednesday.

The first lady plan

WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama plans a weeklong solo visit to China this month that includes meetings with China's first lady and high school and university students. It will be her first visit to the Asian economic powerhouse.

In an announcement Monday on the White House blog, the first lady says a China visit is important because it is the most populous country in the world, nu skin with more than 1.3 billion people, and plays an important role on the world stage.

The White House says Mrs. Obama will travel from March 19-26. She will spend several days in the capital of Beijing, followed by stops in the central city of Xian and the southwestern city of Chengdu. Her schedule includes a meeting with Peng Liyuan, the wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Mrs. Obama missed meeting China's first lady last June when the newly installed Xi, accompanied by his wife, traveled to Southern California for a summit with President Barack Obama. Mrs. Obama stayed in Washington for personal reaons.

She wrote a letter to Peng Liyuan welcoming her to the U.S. and expressing hope that they would meet soon in China, the White House said.

In China this month, Mrs. Obama will focus on the power and importance of education, including in her own life, during visits to a high school and a university in Beijing, and a high school in Chengdu.

She recently began an effort at home to encourage America's young people, including some of the most economically disadvantaged, g-suite cardinal to pursue a college education. On past trips outside the U.S., she also has stressed the same points to students from the host country. Mrs. Obama grew up in a poor Chicago family, but ended up with degrees from two of America's best schools.

In China, she will be accompanied by daughters, Malia and Sasha, and her mother, Marian Robinson, who lives at the White House. President Barack Obama will not be on the trip. He departs the U.S. later that week for stops in Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Mrs. Obama is encouraging students across the U.S. to follow her trip on social media and the White House website, where she will post a daily travel blog.

In preparation for the trip, she scheduled a visit Tuesday to a Washington charter elementary school with a Chinese-immersion, international baccalaureate program. Mrs. Obama will hear a presentation from sixth-graders who visited China last year and visit with pre-kindergarten students who are learning Chinese.

In her post Monday, the first lady said countries today are no longer isolated and are facing many of the same challenges, whether it is to provide students with a good education, combat hunger, poverty and disease, or address threats like climate change.

"These issues affect every last one of us, so it's critically important that young people like you learn about what's going on not just here in America, but around the world," Mrs. Obama said. "Because when it comes to the challenges we face, soon, all of you will be leading the way."

However, that’s not to say the no smoking campus isn’t having an impact.

Patricia Good, HSE South Smoking Cessation Officer said, "This is well above the expected average.”

A spokesperson for the HSE South Offices also said that "it’s encouraged a lot of staff to give up smoking because they didn’t want to have to walk off hospital grounds for their cigarette break”.

In a report published in May of this year, nuskin hk reviewing the three years of a smoke free campus at Cork University Hospital, it’s stated that:

The HSE is committed to all hospital campuses becoming smoke free by the end of 2015.

Ultra-fast connections (at least 100 Mbps) accounted for just 1.4 per cent of all subscriptions (3.4 per cent in the EU).

In terms of mobile broadband, Eurostat found that third generation mobile broadband (HSPA) was available to 94.6 per cent of population in 2012 (96.3 per cent in the EU) and there was no 4th generation (LTE) availability. The Eurostat study showed that the rate of people who have never used the internet has decreased since last year, from 21 per cent down to 18 per cent, which is below the EU average of 22 per cent.

The rate of regular internet usage amongst ‘disadvantaged’ people is 59 per cent, above the EU average of 54 per cent.

The most popular online activity cited by users in Ireland was accessing information and using online travel and accommodation services.

Some 63 per cent of individuals go online in order to find information about goods and services, a rate which is above but not far from the EU average of 62 per cent, and above last year’s rate of 53 per cent. Pink balloon in Kabul free people

The official Taliban website has published an article criticising an art project in which 10,000 pink balloons were given away for free in Kabul, saying the event encouraged un-Islamic behaviour.
Under the headline "Was it a balloon show or a mini-skirt show?", the piece said that the conceptual artwork was a trick to promote Western values among the young Afghan volunteers who helped hand out the balloons.

"The West is using different techniques to promote their culture in Afghanistan, sometimes they do it in an undercover way," the author, Qari Habib, wrote in Pashto in the critique published on Sunday.

"Some girls were without headscarves, with tight jeans and tops on, and even with mini-skirts on the streets. The boys were also dressed in Western-style outfits.

"After distributing some balloons, they wandered around Kabul aiming to break the culture of hijab."

Hijab is the culture of modesty in Islam and covers conduct and dress codes for males and females.

On Saturday morning - the start of the Afghan working week - 100 volunteers distributed the neon-pink "peace" balloons to surprised workers, families and shoppers.

The event's organiser, Yazmany Arboleda, a 31-year-old artist from New York, said the project was designed to highlight young Afghans' creativity and sense of fun in a city wrecked by decades of war.

Called "We Believe In Balloons", it was paid for by individuals and groups around the world sponsoring each balloon for $US1.

"The West wanted to smuggle in its culture through this program," Habib wrote on the Voice of Jihad website. "It was obvious that the main goal was to break the culture of covering in women.

"The war on our religious values, modesty and hijab is on-going under different names such as women skiing, wrestling, fashion shows and balloons."

The continuing insurgent threat in Kabul was underlined as the balloons were being distributed when a suicide bomber killed himself elsewhere in the city while he was preparing his explosives.
